Welcome to Alluring Plants

We supply beautiful, sustainably grown plants that provide the essential sources of nectar and pollen needed by our bees and butterflies.

Bees and butterflies will visit a variety of different plants looking for nectar, their carbohydrate food. Bees will also seek out pollen, an important source of protein for their young. Our range of quality garden plants is carefully selected to provide sources of both nectar and or pollen, from spring to autumn.

Over the past 50 years there has been a decline in many groups of bees and butterflies as well as other important insects that visit flowers. Much of this is due to loss of habitat. Gardens can act as important stepping stones between nature reserves and other natural habitat by offering abundant supplies of nectar. Even the smallest of gardens can provide a haven for some species.

At Alluring Plants, our aim is to encourage gardeners to grow more flowers that provide nectar and pollen as food for bees and other pollinators, throughout the year. Even small increases in the amount of flowering plants providing this much needed food source for pollinators through spring and summer could have a massive effect.
